Construction analysis One piece leather upper cement lasted to butt leather insole which has poron laminated to it for extra comfort. Cork filling applied and a forged (hardened and moulded) steel shank attached. Oak tanned butt leather mid-sole laminated to base of boot. Mid-Sole blake stitched (internally sewn) to base of boot right through to leather insole. Oak tanned butt leather sole laminated to leather mid-sole. Mid-sole and sole welt stitched (for extra strength and durability) into channel in sole which is then closed over stitching for protection. Heel is then laminated to the sole and internally nailed using hardened buttress cling nails. |
